For many years now, Lübeck has had a semester ticket that allows all enrolled students to use public transport free of charge - and since 2019, even throughout Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg and from winter semester 2024 with the Deutschland-Semesterticket throughout Germany.

The transport department takes care of everything to do with this semester ticket at the university. This includes discussions and negotiations with the transport companies in Lübeck and the rest of the state, exchanges with the other participating universities in Schleswig-Holstein and, in particular, supporting all students with questions and problems regarding ordering or using the ticket.

We have been working on the Deutschlandticket and the Deutschland-Semesterticket since 2023 and are trying to get the best deal for students in the negotiations on the changeover. There is a nationwide exchange on this.

In addition, together with the Environmental Subcommittee, we represent the interests of students in transportation in general, primarily in public transport and cycling. This includes involvement in planning for the campus in the near and more distant future.

Help us to help design the new Deutschland-Semesterticket, organize a cargo bike for rental to students and gain exciting insights into negotiations with transport companies. You will be part of a dedicated team and have the opportunity to implement projects independently - all without prior knowledge and with an introduction from the current team.
